Today!
Well, as you are reading this, Karen and I should already be on our way! We are driving to Buffalo for an overnight stay before flying out tomorrow (Jan. 8th). The countdown has been a fun part of the overall experience, but now that the adventure has begun, we couldn’t be more excited!
But before we put these FDC posts on hold (until our return Jan. 16th) I have one more set of details to share with you:
P A C K I N G
Being as our trip is basically just of a 9-day duration, we won’t need much in the way of clothing and such, so we are packing only one medium-sized suitcase for the both of us. This way we only have one bag to check in at the airport. We will both have a carry-on which will have the most important things that we don’t want lost (such as our electronics).
However, we plan to put a smaller bag into the medium-sized suitcase for any souvenirs we may (will) buy. This extra bag will be checked for the return trip.

Unfortunately, we will have limited access to the Internet during our cruise, so blogging about our experiences will have to wait until we return.
So for now, all I have left to say is:
