Funko Dudley Do-Right Wacky Wobbler

Our intrepid Mountie was a supporting character on The Adventures of Rocky and Bullwinkle and Friends show that aired from 1959 to 1964 on the ABC and NBC Networks. He was the thorn in the side of the arch villain Snidley Whiplash, who of course, was always tying up one Nell Fenwick. Of course, his horse named Horse, usually saved the day!

Funko has immortalized Dudley Do-Right for all time in glorious plastic with head-wobbling action and cross-eyed perfection:

Is he hiding something and trying to look nonchalant or did Whiplash just hit him on the head?

Being Canadian, I just loved this character! Although I hope our real Royal Mounted Police are more adept than Do-Right. They could harder be less, I suppose.

This Funko figure was released in 2003 to an unsuspecting public. Little did they know that this was the hero they needed!

But certainly didn’t deserve. However, as the box says, if you should ever find yourself tied to a railway track or lashed to a log in a sawmill, if you call, he will come to the rescue. Just hope that he brings Horse!

When you think of great television animation studios, Disney or Warner Brothers probably come to mind first, with Hanna Barbara and others getting honorable mentions. But Jay Ward Productions was no slouch, creating a cast of memorable characters that most people know.

Bottoms Up !

I didn’t do a video of the Wacky Wobbler in action as I’m sure you know how one of these things works. Suffice it to say that it has a nice level of wobble.

I also have the Pop! Animation Dudley Do-Right Canadian Exclusive figure. You can check it out by clicking the link. If you do, you’ll also learn more about the real Mounties. Seriously, they’re way cooler than Do-Right! Sorry, Dudley.
