Photo Spot: Tenacity in Greenfield Village

In a manmade world, what is a plant to do? Will she give up and see her seed spread no more? Or will she fight back for a place in the sun? One plant showed some tenacity and it’s answer in Greenfield Village at the Henry Ford Museum in Dearborn, MI.

A massive wall of brick and a compacted layer of cobblestone couldn’t stop this little plant from asserting herself!

I sat down on the bench for awhile to keep her company. She didn’t say much, but I definitely got the impression she was there to stay! Would she outlive the manmade materials around her? Time will tell.
